Exhaustion and frustration led me to make these shifts
After launching my first beta course for my MOMM Foundations Program, I decided I was exhausted and that I needed to take a break. I needed to take a step back and really think about why I felt this way. It came to me quickly – I was trying to serve anyone and everyone and I was forgetting about serving myself.
This is something that I have been working hard to change this year, and then still I found myself back to my old tricks of trying to please everyone but myself.
So I stopped. I took a step back.
Shift #1: Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up.
I have grown so much personally through this journey. I have learned so much about myself, about my thoughts and my emotions, and how these are shaping my perception of reality. I have learned that what’s inside me is what I see and experience outside, in my circumstances. So in order to change my circumstances, I have to change what’s going on inside me.
The next thing I realized is that what got me here (to where I am today) won’t get me there (to where I want to be – what I dream of).
Let me elaborate.
Shift #2: What got you here, won’t get you there.
I realized that everything on my vision board won’t happen unless I start showing up as the person who already has those things. I have to show up, think, feel and take action as a person who is making it big online, who is creating an impact in hundreds of women’s lives, who is fit and who feels free. I can’t keep showing up to life the way I am now to get me to realize my dreams. I have to start taking action as if I already have those things or as if I was already that person.
So I have been working on my inner game a lot so that I that my outer game, (my business, my life and my circumstances) can finally change and I can unleash the real Kirsten that I know I was born to be.

Questions to help your re-frame your thoughts
Do I want to get myself out of this situation I am in?
If I was out of this situation and I felt more freedom from _________ (fill in the blank), how would I feel?
How does that future free self act? Think? Feel?
How does that future self show up every day?
What can I do today that didn’t get me here, but will get me there?
I am here to say to you that you need to start taking action. You need to start living as if you can never fail. Your success is inevitable – as long as you believe. You are worthy of being who your heart keeps telling you you should be.
Shift #3: In life there are never failures. There are only lessons.
There are only two ways that things can go once you have taken action. Either things go exactly how you planned or better, or they don’t go how you had hoped. When they don’t go the way that you want or expect, take a step back and ask yourself “what is the lesson that I am supposed to learn here?”.
Just remember, if something “fails” or doesn’t go as planned – it doesn’t change your worth. It doesn’t mean that you are a failure. It just means that it didn’t work and now you need to try something else. Whether you have success, get what you want or live the life you dream of, it doesn’t change your worth. You are worthy regardless.
